This is just a quick guide to let you know how this site is structured.
Bibliographical and verification information is attached to the quotes.
After each quote you will see an icon designating its verification status:
[VIS/AUD] - Visual
/ Audio Verification - This icon signifies that the quote has
been verified by either a videotape, television program, radio
interview, etc. that is a quote "directly from the horse's
mouth," for lack of a better term.
[OFFICIAL] - Official
Source Verification - This icon signifies that the quote was
taken directly from either the Virgin Records website, http://www.virginrecords.com/,
a Virgin Records publication or release, or some other official source.
[PRINT] - Reliable
Print Media Verification - This icon signifies that the quote
has been taken from a reliable printed resource, such as a book or
magazine.
[WEB]
- Unverified
Cross-Referenced Web Source - This icon signifies that the
quote has been unverified and was taken off of the Internet. However,
the fact that this quote is cross-referenced in several different web
sites may or not support the authenticity of the quote.
[WEB] - Unverified
One-Site Web Source - This icon signifies that the quote has
been unverified and was taken off the Internet. The fact that the quote
was found at only one web site does not give the quote much credibility.
[???] - Unverified
Unknown - This icon signifies that the quote has been
unverified and the source is either unknown or forgotten. Take these
quotes with a grain of salt; it is unknown if they are accurate.
All quotes with source
information are followed by a tag number, such as "BC00001,"
which corresponds with a number in the Bibliography
section.
Note:
All quotes added or updated since the last update are preceded with a *NEW!* icon.
This site is in its infancy, and I'll
make every effort to make it a comprehensive archive of Pumpkins
quotables, and any quotes or source information you could provide that
aren't at this site would be appreciated!
