Album News
Taken from smashingpumpkins.com:
we've been pestering the band ceaselessly for an update, and we finally have one for
you. the good news is the new record is now more than 60% completed, with
approximately 21 songs still being considered along with a few select instrumentals. 11
of the songs you might recognize from the arising! tour, and 10 more additional songs
that have yet to be played live by the band. the pumpkins hope to be finished in the
first couple weeks of august, and are still planning a late fall release. and contrary to
published rumours that the record is a return to the band's older styles, we ask and
gently remind, when have the smashing pumpkins ever repeated themselves?
A&E Biography of Brian Wilson
Charles Errington e-mailed me telling me there was a recent A&E Biography of Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys. Billy Corgan was interviewed,
he just said that Brian Wilson was a good musician/singer and said that all the songs about California that he wrote brought in a lot of tourism and he should get some money from the state for that (sarcastically).
Billy also said that considers himself to be "the brian wilson" of his generation. Also thanks to Androphora@aol.com for providing some info.
More chat stuff....
I should have posted this stuff earlier but i've been plauged with problems.
Anyways the chat that didn't really happen was
supposed to be GMVnetwork however TerraX was also involved with the chat but all the technical problems were on GMVnetworks side not TerraX. BRTB from TerraX wanted me to clear that up, he also
thanked me for helping during all the chaos then, at the time there was over 600 people in that chat channel.
Updated Message Board
And last but not least, there is a new version of the message board running. It is basicly the same just updated with more features will allow me to control it easier. Check it out.

Pumpkins recording new album with Flood
Taken from Jam! Music:
Pumpkins recording new album with Flood
With a reunited line-up and all squabblings aside, Chicago alt/rock faves the Smashing Pumpkins are
back on track and recording a new album with producer Flood (U2/Nick Cave/PJ Harvey). The album is slated for an October release.
The yet-to-be named album, the band's fifth since forming in 1988, once again teams the band with
producer Flood, who worked with them on their multi-platinum double CD Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
The original line-up of Billy Corgan, James Iha, D'Arcy and Jimmy Chamberlin (who had been
kicked out of the band for a severe drug addiction) is hard at work on their follow-up to the popular disc
"Adore," a record which spawned numerous hits and went on to sell more than three million copies worldwide.
Jimmy Chamberlin, who has officially rejoined the band, performed recently with the band on the recent leg of their Arising! tour.
The Chat that was not
Lots of chaos tonight and yet another disaster for a Smashing Pumpkins Online event.
Right now I am going to address a few issues, but keep in mind it's late right now for me, a full report will be posted tomorrow early in the morning.
Ok first off, the chat was a distaster, large technical problems plauged the chat delaying it and ultimately causing it's cancellation. Nobody knows
exactly what happened but all will be known probably soon. I helped during the chat to calm the Chaos going on, i feel really bad because this was all
a big waste of time. I spoke with Karl Daher (from Listessa + SPIFC) and he said that Billy called him to say the chat was off. According to Karl Daher,
Billy said there were problems at GMV, he apologies for them and said it was just "pumpkin luck".
Now as for the message posted on the Message Board by "Corgan", I have no way to confirm that this was billy posting it. It may or may not have been him but
could also be fake. Karl Daher says it looks legit but again there is no way to know.
Lastly there is no information on rescheduling of the chat, on the Offical Smashing Pumpkins website there is an image that says: "what happened?". Anyways
more on this whole event tomorrow. Stay Tuned!

D'arcy smashes way to big screen
From Sunday's newspaper San Diego Union-Tribune:
D'arcy smashes way to big screen
Crossover star? Following the foosteps of fellow hard rocker Courtnet Love,
bassist D'arcy is hoping to make the leap into feature film. The outspoken
alternative musician has signed with Jason Weinberg's Untitled
Entertainment for management representation in the acting arena. D'arcy, a
founding member of the multplatinum rock group Smashing Pumpkins recently
finished a club tour with the group and is putting the final touches on the
next Pumpkins' release.
Site News
Not many updates recently due to extreme lack of any worthy news and secondly I am still having problems with my internet server.
The web space problem should be worked out hopefully soon. I will also be looking for a new sub-webmaster, look at the topic below.
