While performing on election night in Toronto, Canada Billy Corgan congratulated Senator Barrack Obama on being elected President of the United States. Earlier in the show one fan shouted out “Obama” to which Billy Corgan replied, “Obama? I don’t see any Obama up here… I love my man from Chicago but he can’t help me right now”. Later toward the end of the show when it became clear that Obama had been elected Billy Corgan remarked that he was proud that his country had done the right thing and was optimistic of the future.
